Expressway video monitoring system is generally divided into toll monitoring and road monitoring. The toll monitoring system is mainly used to observe and record the charging conditions of the lanes, toll plazas and toll booths of the toll station, the types of vehicles passing through the toll lane, the operation process of toll collectors, and the emergencies and special events in the charging process, so as to implement effective supervision. The road monitoring system is mainly used to monitor the highway trunk lines, interchanges, tunnels and other key sections of the highway, master the traffic conditions of the highway, find out the traffic jam sections and illegal vehicles in time, and give guidance in time to ensure the safety and smoothness of the highway

in the field of intelligent transportation, systems such as the capture of vehicles running red lights and the recognition of vehicle license plates have become new application domains. It has been extended from traditional video surveillance to an industrial application system

at present, the monitoring and management of video signals in expressway projects can be divided into the following layers from bottom to top:

1) each toll station

each toll station needs to monitor local video signals. All camera signals under the jurisdiction of each toll station are introduced into the local video monitoring system, and the toll station monitors and manages all local images

2) monitoring sub center

a highway usually has a section monitoring sub center to monitor and manage a certain section. According to the requirements of the road section monitoring sub center, the images of each toll station are uploaded in several ways. The road section monitoring sub center monitors and manages the images uploaded by each toll station in the road section

3) monitoring center (some areas do not have this level, and the signals of the monitoring sub center are directly transmitted to the management center of the transportation department)

the unified management of multiple highways is usually divided into several areas according to the region. A district carries out unified monitoring and management of several expressways connected in a certain area. The monitoring sub centers of these highways upload images according to the requirements of the regional monitoring center, and the regional monitoring center monitors and manages the images uploaded by the monitoring sub centers of each road section in a unified manner

4) the transportation department management center

the highway administration bureaus in various regions need to uniformly monitor, manage and dispatch the highways within their jurisdiction. The monitoring center of each district selectively uploads the video signals of each station to the municipal traffic management center during the preparation process of mixed ingredients, which will be monitored and managed by the municipal traffic management center

at present, station level monitoring has been cancelled in some highway projects. Each toll station will not monitor the video signals at the front end after collecting them locally, but upload them all to the road section monitoring sub center, or input the matrix and then output some signals from the matrix to the road section center. Generally, road monitoring signals are directly connected to the monitoring sub center. The traffic management center, monitoring center and monitoring sub center adopt joint and hierarchical control, and generally the municipal traffic center has the highest priority. The control signal is transmitted to the equipment to be controlled in the form of level by level forwarding

In the case of sufficient optical fiber resources, point-to-point uncompressed video optical transceiver is first selected for transmission, which has the advantages of high image quality, good real-time performance and low cost

1. Point to point mode

cascade matrix system is adopted between station level toll station and monitoring sub center to selectively transmit several images of each station level toll station to the monitoring sub center. The monitoring sub center and station level toll station can control the front-end monitoring points, and the monitoring sub center has priority. Such a two-level matrix cascade system has fully met the functions of signal upload and multi-level management. The superior station can control the corresponding functions of local and subordinate matrices, making monitoring and management extremely simple. It is recommended to use Tiandi Weiye 87 series cascade control matrix. Its most prominent feature is the use of ferroelectric storage and can bus technology, which greatly improves the speed of control switching management. At the same time, the extremely high stability and ultra long transmission distance of CAN bus maximally suppress various interference factors
